Lara Logan
Lara Logan was born 29 March 1971. She is a South African journalist, radio and television journalist. She was an official CBS News correspondent from 2002 until 2018.60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager described her factually incorrect, politically biased piece in 2012 Benghazi as "the most regrettable mistake I've made in the last 10 years." She joined Sinclair Broadcast Group (a conservative media company) in the year 2019. The company was acquired by Fox Nation in January 2020. Fox News runs the subscription streaming service. She claimed she was "dumped" by Fox Nation in March 2022. Logan worked as an assistant news reporter for Durban's Sunday Tribune (1988-1989) and the Daily News (1990-1992). In 1992, she joined Reuters Television Africa as a senior producer. After four years she decided to venture into freelance journalism and was assigned as an editor/reporter, reporter and editor/producer at Fox/SKY, Fox/SKY and CBS News, ABC News (in London), NBC and the European Broadcasting Union. She worked for CNN, reporting on incidents like the 1998 United States embassy bombings in Nairobi and Tanzania and the conflict in Northern Ireland, and the Kosovo conflict.
